Abstract:
Soil salinization significantly affects the development of global economy, so it is of great importance to study the mechanism of water-salt transport and accurately simulate its process for monitoring, evaluating and controlling the soil salinization. In this review, we introduced the Hydrus model developed by US Salinity Laboratory, and systematically described the applications of the Hydrus model in different soil textures, irrigation methods, watering frequencies and saline soil improvement measures. Finally, we prospected the Hydrus model development, which would provide a new idea for future soil water-salt transport modeling.
